GA4 Integration: Tag Settings

When you integrate your Mida project with GA4, Mida automatically detects the Google tag on your website and initiates data transmission. In cases of a complex GA4 setup or encountered integration issues, you have the option to manually specify the mode of Google tag installation.

Direct Mode

Direct mode employs the gtag() function, enabling the direct transmission of event data to GA4 without the necessity of Google Tag Manager. This mode is automatically activated when you integrate GA4 into your Mida project.

Via Google Tag Manager (GTM)

In cases where the direct mode via the gtag() function does not work for your website, or if you prefer to send events via a custom dataLayer variable name, you can integrate GA4 using this method.

By default, GTM is configured to access events from your dataLayer variable, assuming it's labeled 'dataLayer.' If you're using a different dataLayer variable name, be sure to specify it accordingly within the provided text box.

Note: If you've enabled GTM integration with the default dataLayer variable name, there's no need to enable GA4 integration via GTM separately. The GTM integration alone will suffice and synchronize events with your GA4.
