How to setup goals for external or affiliate sites

If your websites are equipped with affiliate links that direct visitors to external websites, goal conversions can be defined by the number of times your visitors click on these external links.

In your tests, select "Clicked an external link" as a goal. Make sure the external link you designate as your goal perfectly aligns with the URL you have embedded on your website. There is no necessity to install Mida's script to the external sites because Mida only monitors the activity of links being clicked on your website. Any actions performed by visitors on the external websites will remain untracked.

For instance, if we conduct a test on www.mida.so that contains an affiliate link (https://howuku.com?ref=mida11), which directs visitors to www.howuku.com, we can monitor the frequency with which visitors click on the links as a goal. In this scenario, we would enter "https://howuku.com?ref=mida11" as the external link goal.

In brief, Mida has the capability to track any links featured on your website. As soon as someone clicks on these links (which in turn redirect visitors to external sites), we count that as a conversion before the visitor navigates to the external site.
